Three separate hours of One-on-One training sessions with the Dog Trainer working on your dog’s specific training goals and/or behavioral issues. Depending on class size, indoor sessions may be limited to “one handler per dog” due to space limitations. On days when there is adverse weather, class will be held indoors. ** This course is seasonal and will be held outdoors pending weather conditions. Prior formal training and Beginner Agility is a prerequisite to participate in this course.

Fitness & stretching will be reviewed to keep your canine happy, healthy, and safe through the course. Work on agility course obstacles such as the weave poles & sea-saw will be practiced to increase fluidity. In this class we will continue to focus on the fundamentals as we begin to increase cue consistency and distance with our dogs. As you maneuver through obstacles your canine looks & listens to your cues for direction. The Intermediate Agility Course is the continuation of our Beginner Agility Course designed for pet parents who are interested in building their communication with their canine companion through this fast paced, ever growing, canine sport. Prerequisites: Dogs that have completed at least one prior training course & Beginner Agility, OR by Dog Trainer Approval Only Due to space limitations, one handler per dog is permitted during indoor sessions. Paperwork, payment, and vaccinations^ must be submitted in advance. There is no introductory week for this course. This class is 60-minutes in length and is held once a week for 6 weeks. The Beginner Agility Course is designed for fundamentals, not speed. We will work together on body awareness & fitness, along with familiarizing your dog to obstacles in a safe and positive environment. The Beginner Agility class is an interactive class designed for pet parents who are interested in building communication with their canine companion through this sport or who would simply enjoy a class that is challenging, exciting, positive, and most importantly FUN! This class focuses on not only communication, but also the foundations required to get your canine started off on the right paw in this fast-paced, exciting sport. Prerequisites: Dogs that have completed at least one prior training course, OR by Dog Trainer Approval Only.Ĭanine Agility is a sport that has grown in popularity internationally over the years. Official title is not required to earn a certificate. All dogs can get a number including purebreds and mixed breeds. *Dogs must have an AKC, PAL, or AKC Canine Partners number to earn an official title. This class is 60-minutes in length and is held once a week for 7 weeks. CGC Certification is REQUIRED for the Volunteer Therapy Dog Program. Each week specific testing items, for a total of 10 items, will be reviewed and practiced. This course is seven weeks in length and includes the evaluation to be conducted on the seventh, and final, class session. This class is your comprehensive guide as training tips during class, and take home practice after class, prepare you and your canine for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluation.
